Kids Beating Cancer was created in 1992 by Margaret Voight Guedes in memory of her son, John Voight, who lost his battle with leukemia earlier that year. Since 1992, the charity has raised over $10 million in generous donations, recruited over 37,000 potential donors, resulting in monthly marrow and stem collection requests for patients that would die without a transplant. Kids Beating Cancer serves over 7,000 kids and championed the opening of the Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center at the Florida Hospital for Children.
In addition to a financial donation, Pcubed employees made over 50 super hero capes to donate to Kids Beating Cancer. The super hero capes are part of a program Kids Beating Cancer has setup to help kids have the superpower strength they need to fight cancer.
