The Skolars Community department is active in over 20 primary and secondary schools, engaging in rugby development programs with over 1500 students. Additionally, the Skolars offer inclusive rugby for disable children through Access Sport and deliver to 100 kids per term via the ignite Program. The Community Department is going from strength to strength after picking up both the Haringey Council Club of the Year award and the London Rugby League Youth & Junior Club of the Year award in 2011. They have also achieved the RFL’s Club Mark from the sports’ governing body, which sets a benchmark for quality coaching and child care standards. The awards are proof and recognition of the positive effects the scheme has on the local community.
As part of our involvement with the Community Partnership Scheme, we also sponsor the annual Schools Challenge, which took place on Friday the 22nd of January. The Schools' challenge is a rugby tournament between the six highest performing schools held at the Prestigious Honourable Artillery Company in the heart of the City of London
We are proud of our involvement in the London Skolar's Community Partner scheme and the opportunity it provides us to help build a positive future for youths in the Haringey and Enfield Neighbourhood.
