Pcubed North America - Detroit Volunteer Day

Monday, May 8, 2017
On April 17th our Detroit Hub consultants had the opportunity to participate in a Volunteer Day supporting not one but two non profit organizations in giving back to the community.

One team of consultants went to the South Oakland Shelter, where we have volunteered in the past, to build shelving units, providing for increased organization and management of incoming donations. The South Oakland Shelter works everyday to end homelessness for individuals and families in crisis. In 2016, SOS served over 3,000 homeless or at-risk individuals, providing over 11,000 nights of shelter and 33,000 meals.

Our second team of consultants went to Arts & Scraps to participate in our first volunteer experience with this organization. Arts & Scraps is a Detroit based non-profit that annually recycles 28 tons of material to help 275,000 children think, create and learn.

It was a tremendous opportunity to work with both organizations.  We look forward to our next Volunteer Day!
