Pcubed Business Development Manager Carl Dalby hailed the move to the HAC in the City and the increased exposure rugby league will receive in the Square Mile, saying "Since 1998 Pcubed has been an active supporter of the Varsity Match and rugby in the City. The move to the HAC has brought with it increased opportunities for all, and we are seeing those benefits this year."
"The feedback we had from last year’s event was overwhelmingly positive" said Mark Ramsdale who oversees the event. "We had some very useful comments, mostly about scale and some format tweaks. The upshot was we needed to think bigger and we have put elements in place for this year's day."
With additional supporters Spitfire Ale and the No1 Sports Bar, the 2014 event now includes more facilities for spectators, including a second large marquee, a new type of ticket for those making a day of their visit to London, and an official after party.
"This is great news for the Varsity Match" concluded Pcubed’s Dalby. "We are excited about the prospect of the 2014 event, which we already expect to be bigger and better than any in our longstanding relationship."
