Olympic Delivery Authority (London 2012)

Summary of Pcubed Roles

The Client

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) is responsible for building the new venues and infrastructure needed for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The ODA works to an immovable deadline and is accountable to multiple stakeholders.

The Challenge

Pcubed has worked alongside the ODA since its formation in 2006 and supported its transition to mature operation, initially through the design of the Program Management Office and then as it matured into an effective, intelligent client, developing the Programme Assurance function, which provides delivery confidence for the CEO and major stakeholders.

With our guidance, the ODA developed and deployed a streamlined value for money methodology for approving projects and then assisted the ODA to develop business cases for many key venues and for critical support programmes, such as Construction Logistics and Park Operations.

Other roles undertaken were advisors during the procurement of the ODA's delivery partner, key client-side roles in logistics and IT functions and PPM leadership for the arts and training venue projects.
